My husband works with a wonderful man , his family was exspecting their second child . He asked me if I would do their Newborn pictures for them , of course I said yes ! I love photography and lil babys so I knew it would be super fun. Boy was I right, my husband went with me to the session ( normaly never happens , but he wanted to say hi and check out the new bundle ) This baby boy was SOOO stinkin cute ! I got some pretty good shots and was able to make the new parents happy so it was all win win :D Here is a little peek from that session .

I am going to be following M4H photography 52 photography challenge on flicker . My first attempt at this was a fail.. SO then I have been thinking about the weight resolution , I was going to take a picture of a scale and all these other things. I just havn't gotten to it yet , BUT I did get to my resolution of being more crafty in the kitchen ... I made these wonderful BEAUTIFUL Cherry coke cup cakes ... YES home made , from scratch ..... SO good .... And because I have too photograph everything here is a beautiful picture of my beautiful cup cakes :D

This and the last few sessions have been cold ones, we live in N.Ca and it gets chilly FAST ! But back in my favorite shooting area it is still pretty and if you look hard enough you can find good spots that still have the look of fall :D This is a wonderful family and I can't wait to have a chance to get my camera back on these kids for their future pictures !

Today was Christmas goodie making day :D We started with Peppermint candy's , This is my wonderful lil helper I heart him .

We had to freeze those above .. So you will just have to wait to see those.

He mixed this up with an electric mixer ( his first time using one ) he did pretty good.

Then I made little rounds to freeze for 10 min and then dip ( little secret is smells of sweets and chocolate in my house right now!

Now we dip and my lovely gets to have his very own candy's

Don't those just look yummy ? Next we preped for our EASY peanut butter cookies

We have to make the dip for these and start on Red velvet whoopie pies and my family's signature cherry candy's . . . . Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas .

Remember that awesome blog I told you about ?? You know the light hunters ?? Well this week is STILL LIFE ... Our objective was to collect objects and make a still life photo, I kinda took the assignment as like grab stuff that reflects you, so I did... HIGH SCHOOL was dumb ( but that is for another post ) I was known ALWAYS known as the girl with glasses ( even when I wore contacts ) SO that is who I am, the girl with the glasses ~~ Just saying someone should so write a book about that~~ HAHA like the girl with the dragon tattoo HMM HMM .. Ok anyways and I Heart reading I HEART HEART HEART it .. So I went to the best place for natural light in my house , my room and got to thinking what is more me then reading and glasses ( BUT not my reading glasses because those puppy's might have started a fire with the sun light reflection ) I added a little big more to the picture my addiction ( starbucks ) and bam greatness happened ~ LOL I really love this piece of work it makes me swoon !

Awwww its that time again, Time to share photos of this sweet little boy :D ONE of my favorite things to do in my photography journey is this, being able to photography growth . I love watching my clients grow :D I was there when this little cutie was brought into this world , he is 5 months here. He is JUST as cute if not more scrumptious then ever ! At this age it is a little more of a challenge to get great photos of just baby ( back muscles in all ) so we did some of the three of them. Sweeten ~ A Susanville Family photographer

After knowing this family for 6 years , I was giving the great opportunity of taking their family pictures. It was COLD I mean I couldn't feel my fingers cold, But it was not windy and it is just so pretty out right now so we went and tackled the coldness and got our session going. I am going to start with the kids, this couple has the best kids , they listen very well to their parents and to my instructions ! They are good with each other and that right there is just amazing , because my two fight like cats and dogs and only get along when they are playing zhu zhu pets . The love that you saw between this family is eye opening . Their kids are very lucky to have the parents they do and those parents are very lucky to have those kids. It was a pleasure to take their pictures that will last a life time. Also can I add that this was the first couple shot they have done in years and they look super cute! I hope to get the opportunity to capture them again in the future .

October , I love that its so pretty and its the best month to photograph in . It leads into November and that is my birthday month :D then December .. So I guess the question should be what is my favorite MONTHS .

Im not sure brand .. But I love those nice pens that are in some Doctors offices .

4. You go to a new Italian restaurant, what is your go-to order?
Soup, BREAD and Alfredo.

5. If you could choose to have any celebrity’s hair, who’s would you choose?
I’m watching Conan right now… NOT HIM. There is so much pretty hair in Hollywood. I’ve always loved Meg Ryan’s hair, all the styles. But I also love long wavy hair. I love Carrie Underwood’s hair!

6. What’s your favorite board game?
Candy land .. I know but its like nostalgia lol

7. Do you know how to play poker?
Umm no.

Not my favorite but I fast forward through commercials .

This session was special for me, I have know this mom and her kids for 6 years. The little boy is one of my daughters best friends and his sister has grown up to be such a beautiful young women . They lost their father before I met them , They have grown and life has gone froward for this family . Tho he will always be in their hearts and I am sure that he is looking down on them and is so proud of who they have become. Last year my friend met a man, he is good to them and the kids have created a bond with him that is very apparent in the photos. This session was a family session and an engagement session, I am so happy for her and their family. Congrats <3

OK so I dropped the ball and ignored Shutter Sunday the last few weeks, I am sorry . To top it all off I completely forgot to even get any orange shots.... SOO I will be postings what randomness is on my phone . It has been such a busy month with moo and the kids . Our anniversary was this month and Halloween activity's . Halloween is tomorrow and I hope to get some random but awesome shots of uptown trick or treating. Today I had a cancellation SOOO I took this free weekend to take photos of another kind. Meet Emmy lou moo moo maxamus ( That's her full registered name , but we call her moo and maxamus is her parents "last" name so we decided to stay with their name) She was a gift from my husband for our 11 year anniversary. We have wanted an English bully for years now, and have waited for 3 years for my lovely hair and nail guru's English bullys to get preggo.. When she told me I felt like "wow this is happening , we are getting a bully" Then the other thought RIGHT after that one was "What great timing we just gave lunch to a better home" We had bought a cute 5 month old lab ( not knowing he was 5 months old ) because of how he lived before he came to our house , he was just too much to handle, so we found another great home with no kids and where he could get one on one treatment everyday . So when we got the call that her bully had her puppies we were so excited and have gone and visited them every weekend for the last 8 weeks, she finally came home to use this week. She and our other dog bit are getting along so well and the kids just love her. This is her debut as the cutest puppy ALIVE !

This week marked the first day of school, funny faces and prettys . I was very busy with new carpet and getting back into the run of things . I have tried to through some prettys into the mix of my every day life and those that I see . Memory

Today a friend of mine lost a someone .. Not a family member Not a pet , a close friend of hers past away. She posted this

"Don't think there will be a next time for pictures! It could be something as simple as the shoe tree getting cut down making it too late. Or your friend could die and now I regret not taking pictures of us together. Over welming sadness. We had an amazing year of friendship"

Even tho I am a photographer I don't have these gimmick sayings about how photography is an investment and it last forever and come pay me hundreds of dollars for these memory's held in time ... THO I do agree that photography is an investment as far as taking time out of life to spend 1-2 hours smiling happily for the camera. I don't agree that your investment needs to drain your pocket book. I know that is not kosher to say out loud , but I can't help my self ... I also agree that a photograph last forever ( as long treated right ) a paper print can last a lifetime. Most photographs you take tho are classic studio settings , not your candid none scripted moments . Its these memory's that count, the time you went camping and little Timmy got into the chocolate you had stored for smores that night.. As your little boy soon to be a man looks up at you with chocolate smudged across his face and his little chocolate fingers reaching for you.. As a photographer I take these more classic setting photographs, I love doing small little family events like the silly string session I did for a friend and her family. She holds those pictures closer to her heart more then the other pictures Ive done for her , but I don't get the chance too often to take these style shots. In this fast paced day in age people don't stop and enjoy life. Your everyday life seems to be on a time limit one activity after another HECK women are scheduling births to fit around there busy schedule.. In other words most people don't stop and smell the roses! Back to my friends loss It made me think about how short life is , NOT only to stop and enjoy your kids and family BUT what about your friends ? I know for my self I hold my friends VERY close and I care for them as if they are my family. But You never really stop and think to get pictures with your friends do you ? For that matter how many of you squirm and block the lens when your friends try to take pictures of you? I am here to say NOT only as a FRIEND but as a PHOTOGRAPHER step in front of the camera STOP being so shy your friends and family want to remember your pearly whites and sillyness :D and set up a session right now ( with someone, anyone ) preserve your memory's ! Susanville residents remember I give all your edited digital negatives too you ! Not only will they be stored on a professional website but if asked I am more then willing to give you them on a CD .. Your memory's are your memories and you have the right to have them all Not just what you buy in paper prints ....
So please take your camera out when little billy in covered in toilet paper because he was left alone for 5 seconds and unraveled the WHOLE roll... When little sally thought the Easter egg color tab was candy so now she is green from head to toe.. It might make you a little mad at the time but it will be funny later . When you have lunch with your girls Don't be afraid to take your camera out cause Krazy K stuck a straw up her noise or jazzin J has these over the top heals on!

Hot air ~

One of my passions is photographing THINGS .. With 3 kids in toe I don't get to make it to a lot of events ~ Main reason would be because I live in a small town where the biggest city with all the fun action is hour N half away . This year my small little town surprised me with having a first annual hot air balloon race. We headed out at 5:30 in the morning to our little airport and waited too see these magnificent objects . Of course being first annual , they didn't get started on time and that meant I missed the sun rising and getting that red glow.. However I did get some really neat shot and I am so glad I watched these BIG beautiful balloons .

I had an awesome time photographing this family, I have had a few sessions with the kiddos before. They are super cute and really good with instruction. The mamma of the bunch asked me if I would do a family session and of course I said YES ~ I am always asked what type of outfits should I ware? I tell people to mix match ( so match without matching ) AND show your personality's . Now I have known this family for about almost 6 years and Mr. is total cowboy and Mrs well deep down she is my punk rocking rockabilly at heart gal, HOWEVER she pulls of the cowgirl ~ huntress pretty darn well !!! So she went with the middle for her self, super cute old school western but yet a little bit of edge . This made for TO DIE for pictures and I had sooo much fun editing them ! Here are a sneak peek of a few were I used some newly purchased actions from paint the moon .

Sitting on the computer all day finding great freebies on awesome blogs and websites was very fruitful ~~~ All you have to do is search , while on the prowl for free actions and textures you will come across useful information and editorials . I am sure you will fall in love with so many websites and blogs , Photography is my passion and something I love very much . The great thing about photography is that it is ever changing and you are never a PERFECT PRO there is always room to adjust your creativeness and learn thousands of new things ! All you have to do is hop on line and search!!! I love you-tube for reals there is so many tutorials of ways to use and get to know your Photoshop ( or what ever digital darkroom you use ) . You can also pick up a book , take a class or enroll into a photo walk .
I personally want to do a photo walk but with the many responsibility of being a mommy to 3 its a little easier said then done , BUT soon I will get that chance and I can check that off my WISH LIST..

Getting your snap on while at the fair or amusement park !

Every year we go to Disneyland and every year I forget to take pictures of whats around me BECAUSE I am so consumed with happiness and family time, I just forget to even look at anything else other then my kids. We also go to the fair every year and the same thing happens , I knew I wanted pictures of horses and boy did I get some great shots ! But I completely forgot to get some of the rides . I have done some reading and looking on this type of photography and tho each picture I looked at has its own personality , I found that its all been done before! I wanted to be different and tho I did get a great shot of a fares wheel type ride I will not be posting it because it is way to similar to whats already out there ! *Tho I am the Queen of believe there is NO stealing in photography * I went back and looked at different angles ~ What I was able to shoot was AMAZ~BALLS if I do say so my self :)

I have a few tips to share, and its things that are really common sense when it comes to being YOU, FORGET all the anyone teaches you about photography TO BE YOU you need to step out side and look ~ not just see I mean LOOK at what is around you and snap that shutter , you never know what you will come up with and just remember it may not all be good and it may not all be bad. The joy of a digital dark room is that you can change something that may not look that great into something that is super good ! Try all different angles NOT just the common used up front looking up to the side ~ its ok to cut off part of the sign or name , maybe leaving only the first letter of the ride . Take time to wait for people passing by to get shots of the midway or ride it self , also wait for the right moment to get some shots WITH random people in playing games and laughing . While in your digital dark room take time to play with your edits and see what works best with that scene, try several different actions and coloring . Also remember your light, you don't always have to go at night to get that less sunny feel THO it is cool to get the shinny lights off the rides that is a whole different type of photography in it self. GO before sunset where you can still get that bight burst of sun through the rides or trees . Most of all HAVE fun and be true to your self and if you happen to get the SAME type of snap shot as someone else OH well don't let it bug you ( always remember most likely they were not the first ones to get that shot anyways ! ) At the bottom are some of my shots from our local fair , I hope you enjoy and it moves you to go get your own creative happy snap on...

This little cutie was learning how to walk so I had to be quick on my toes to get the right shot before he would try to move. What makes a photographer

I have been thinking about this lately ... The question "What makes a photographer?" definitely not a camera , I try and tell people that buying an expensive camera doesn't make you a photographer and doesn't make your photos look good, it just makes you and owner of a really expensive camera!! taking a class at a community college doesn't make you a photographer , it just means you've taken a class about photography. SO what is it then?? I Didn't take a class I took a course that took over a year to complete , I didn't start out with a digital camera I started out with film. I have some really good photos and some that are just ok , does that make me a photographer ? NO I don't think so , a photographer is a person who has heart, who sees things that others don't. When I go out with a client the only thing on my mind is what can I do to make them happy? How can I make them smile when they walk past this snap shot in their home? I don't care about the check at the end of the session, I don't care if I get it JUST perfect while editing , I care THE only care I have is making them HAPPY ! That is what makes a photographer, a person who caress less about fame and notoriety and more about the people they are photographing ! If you are a true photographer you will spend more time worrying if what you have produced for someone is perfect then where you can get the next client ! In truth I look at my self as a hobbyist more then a professional because this isn't about work for me, This the camera and time I spend in my digital dark room fills something in me ( in my soul ) that nothing *other then my kids* can even touch. Anyone can take a photo ANYONE can take a GREAT photo but its a special few who can take a pictures were you can actually see heart in the print it self . Photography seems to be the NEW HOT job EVERYONE knows someone who says they are a photographer ( it truly is crazy ) I guess its like anything really its easy and cheep to "become a photographer" But you will find that not all are created equal , I don't look for how crisp or clean someones prints look , in fact I look for flaws the little things that most people will miss and not even notice, because that shows that the photographer saw something in that moment that they just had to share EVEN tho it wasn't perfect. Someone who isn't worried about being different, I love photography and NO one will take that from me . I will be me until the day I can't push the shutter button 8} That is my thougths on what makes someone a photographer .

My Little boy is 7 months old, He just mastered sitting up and has become a ninja at crawling :) Has two teeth ( and is teething the top two now ) his favorite snack is lil crunchies and he loves to snuggle. One dream I have in my photographer journey is to photograph a birth, well I was given that very opportunity . I was very honored and blessed to be a part of the wonderful couples journey into becoming parents . I don't have words for how honored and blessed and how wonderful the whole experience was. Just know it was the best thing ( besides becoming a mom my self ) Ive done in my life . I am sharing just a few pictures for their moment due to the fact it is such a privet moment in time for the couple, I truly hope they love what I have done and I wish them all the joy in the world to being parents to this cute lil boy <3

This week went by so fast , Ive stopped and wondered how the heck I can slow time down? its going by so fast and I feel like even tho I am living and enjoying life I feel like it is flying past me and I want it to STOP like NOW!!! This week was a photo session and little miss Birthday party , oh and we got a new dog his name is Lunch Box . Fun FUN week here are the snaps of the week ENJOY !!!

This is Mr.Lunch Box he is a whiteish lab , potty training has been a pain in the butt but he is loving the kids so thats good .

One of my favorite things to do is take pictures of my friends, when I can give them a snap shot of their moments frozen in time its the best feeling! I recently had the opportunity of photographing my dear friend and her cute baby girl. This session was exceptionally fun because Ive known this wonderful lady for oh 5 years and it wasn't until two years ago ( a question posted on Face book " anyone know anyone who can do yard work for me" ) brought us together , When we first met I'm not sure it was the best of circumstances because the mothers club for me wasn't the greatest experience .... ANYWAYS .... Its not that we didn't like each other or have anything bad to say about each other We just didn't talk. So after the FB question we just became fast friends and I am so grateful that she answered my question two years ago and I am so grateful she is in my life now, I love our friendship.. OK enough lovey doveyness on with the pictures <3 enjoy

This week I did a little bit of a different photo session . For Fathers day I had a great deal on a mini session called me and my guy, This session was one of my favorites ( no not cause shes one of my friends BUT because it was something new ) I have been doing that a lot lately 8D

This was one busy week! I had a wonderful session with a wonderful couple and their baby bump, I took my first born out on her twilight shoot (they turned out so great) We went to redding and visited Turtle bay. Then I got the call Ive been waiting for , My wonderful couple I mentioned above were becoming parents . She had a great labor and I made it just in time to photograph little Andrew coming into this world . It was such a great thing to have been a part of and I am happy to have done it !! fulfilled a dream of mine and I am just honored to have been part of it and be part of the next year of his life (best kinda of clients) I love watching them grow !!! As far as my Iphone pictures go like always they are random and of what I love mostest 8D

So my friend wrote on Facebook that she had made nuttier than squirrel shit oat meal energy bars .. I had to make my own so these are "shuts my kids up right away bars" :D

Twilight ~ A Susanville Tween Photographer

A little known secret is that my daughter and I are obsessed with twilight . Team Edward all the way :D We thought it would be a super fun idea to do a twilight inspired photo shoot, I had been looking for a dress that would be perfect for this shoot but was having no luck. At our "friend 3 family garage sale " one of my friends had this pretty old looking dress, I bought it from her ( it is such a pretty dress ) I had a brake in between sessions this week so we took the time and did her makeup and hair and took off. Her pictures came out so good and she looks so pretty and grown up, I just can't believe that 11 years ago this month she was born. My little baby girl <3

Little miss took a guitar class during the school year, She LOVES it ! She had her concert and these are the pictures I took from that night. I was so sick with a head cold but hearing her play was music to my ears :)

This is the best shot I was able to get , the music sheet holder was taller then she was and it was blocking her face. Then her teacher was sitting by her and he was kinda blocking her. But I love this one !

I love her little hands and playing the guitar is kinda a struggle but she works really hard at it and will be a rock star <3

This one I just love, I have no idea who this kid is but he was pretty good! I love the colors and the silhouette on the wall behind him.

For mothers day this year my hubby bought me a lensbaby composer :) Ive been wanting one for about 4 or 5 years now and I was just head over heals when he told me he got it ! There was a LONG wait through the company I was getting it from and I had to cancel the order :( BUT I found it on another site yay me ! It just arrived today I am having so much fun learning and playing with it ! It is going to take some time to really get used to it but here are some shots I just took TODAY ( they are pretty cool if I do say so myself ) ENJOY

My meeting with my client went so well today ! I may have talked a little too much but my loving mother said it makes me seem personable maybe she has to say that kinda thing to me cause I am her daughter ~ I think besides that it went so well and I can't wait for our up coming sessions! I am booked for basically her babys first year of life ( it truly is the best kinda sessions EVER ) I love being that photographer and I love watching them grow! I am on call from now until she goes into labor , the most exciting thing in my photography career is in place and well I am both honored and nerves all at once! I think this will be great and its the start to something bigger and it makes me smile EAR TO EAR !!! Plus an added bonus I love little baby shoots and I can't wait to meet her lil man .

New beginnings

New, BIG , exciting , nerves is all the emotions I have right now! Nothing matters other then how I feel about my work, my life and my dreams right now! There are a lot of photographers in my small N. California town , more then there needs to be but there is work for all of us. For me its not a living as far as putting food on the table, but I get enough work in one year to 100% fulfill the artistic need I have growing inside me ! I have dreams as far as my photography goes and this year they seem to be coming true... I have been giving the opportunity of a life time and I just can't wait for it all to come together. I have BIG BIG plans for myself and my art and I feel so grateful its not even funny! I want to just say THANK YOU like all day long.

The weather is finally lifting and we will be in the 80s this weekend! I have booked a maternity session and a ( better late then never ) mommy and me session. I am pretty much booked out the rest of the month, I have 3 spots left for July and 3 left for August . I will be off starting December to relax re charge and work on my new business plans for 2012 ( I am tickled pink about new photography venture ) I think it will be a great thing for this small town and I can't wait to have it all come together .

My Esty store has a lot of traffic and I am loving the community, I will be taking the first week of summer vacation to create some awesomely wacky photos for my store so keep a look out !

This week was kinda boring , no real theme to notice. But I few fun shots .

I was surprised and so proud when I was informed that my daughter was receiving a student achievement award from the Soroptimist organization. She works so hard and tho math and what not doesn't come easy to her I am just so proud that she tries and over all is one great kid! She is sweet and respectful and out going, we are going to the Soroptimist dinner and award show with Devyn it will be her night !

Toys toys and more toys... I have mild OCD and I have to have things in their own spot, you know "everything has a place and every place has a thing" so it is hard to just have pigs toys laying around the house.. I put up with it because I love watching him with things, just how is eyes become full of light like the has the secrets to the world but all these bright colors and silly noises are all new to him.

Bath time , I just thought this was cool looking with my iphone app ..

We all went to Kyles boyscout graduation and well it was loooonnngggg.... Its not as much fun as people like to think, sitting in very uncomfy chairs for 3+ hours... So in my daze of trying to get away from my back pain and trying to chase my boardum away, I got some shots of my awesome pink chucks :D

This little guy is about 6 months old , he is easy going and well CUTE !!! I have the great pleasure of photographing him from older born to his cake smash, I LOVE sessions like that and I can't wait to photograph him grow!!!

This little Red head is my favorite ! Shes so fun and wild , this was are warm up shot and the best thing about this is she is calm and just checking stuff out, after this it was chasing her around photo shoot ( the bestest )

This was a great shot that I just had to turn black and white, she was running ahead of us and I was playing red light green light with her... She kinda didn't get the whole stop thing so I had to be quick on my shutter button , it was such a great evening.

First blossoms on the cherry tree of the season , now its colder this week so I am crossing my fingers it doesn't freeze because I really would love cherry's this summer !

It has been in the 60s and is suppose to get into the 70s all week. Our cherry tree has bloomed flowers and as long as we keep the weather up I will have cherrys this summer :D and I am so very excited about it !! I went out and took some pictures of the blooms and kept hearing this buzzing .... I looked up and their was hundreds of bees doing their thing pollinating N stuff, I got a picture of one little bee ! Can't wait to clean up my yard and get ready for summer 5 weeks and 3 days away but whos counting ......

I was on Twitter the other day and I read a post about someone "coping" Someones photography ideas , I then read it closer and it was "coping" ideas for someones photography business ( now I can under stand that and if you copy someones business ideas and step by step make your business like someone else's that's bad mojo my friend However when I first read it I thought it said "coping" someones photography ideas , it got me thinking if this was even possible so I took my wonder and went to the world wide web. I asked the question " can one stile someone else's photography ideas " Turns out I am not the only one who has asked this very question and there was A LOT of forums on this subject and the fact is one can not in fact "stile" another pose idea , you can't copyright a pose or a location so why would anyone say you "stole" my idea.. In further web searching I found that almost all ideas we might have are most certainly influenced by someone else work, that you can't possible by the first to stuff a baby in a bucket! One forum I read was talking about "who was the first person to ever put a newborn in the frog pose and does that mean you have to give them the credit for your work" . They talked about the fact that Anne Geddes was pretty much the first and most well known for newborn photography, so does that mean that someone else who takes newborn shots are copying from her ?? My search brought up a lot of questions and from my findings it is safe to say that you can't in anyway copy someones work! NO matter if you use the same location or the same prop the fact is how you see the end result will make it a whole different photograph, There will not only be different people in the picture but your editing will be different and your prospective will be different. I feel that thinking a pose you use is 100% your idea and NO ONE ever in the years since the making of the first camera has ever used that pose or prop is a little bold and maybe you think way too much of your self ... The fact is any pose you can possibly think up has most likely been thought up before.. And is it really the pose you use or is it the spin you use to make it your own.. I saw a family photo shoot and the props were candy, now I am sure if I look online I would find 100 more just like that but does that mean that the photographer is any less good or that they "copied" from someone else ?? I don't believe so . Now with all this said I have a photographer friend who did a beautiful engagement shoot , She used a fish eye lens and a fishing pole now it is an awesome photo and I really like it SOOO because her work influenced me and my idea ( idea being I want to use the fishing pole idea add a lake and my kids ) so I went straight to her, and asked "hey I love the picture you took I want to use the same concept but of course my picture will be different different people , place and well through my eye , I'll give you credit for giving me the idea " her reply No problem , have fun and don't worry about the credit I'm sure its been done before ................................ I mean a photographer after my own heart! The bottom line is

A. If you really think so much of your self and you think the world is after you and people are copying your work DON'T put them online for others to see.

B. You have to keep in mind that you can't copyright locations or poses or props OR software OR textures OR... ( the list can go on and on and on )

C. Make your work your own ~ be your self and put all your heart into your photography , don't worry about anyone else or what anyone else says .

D. Not that I feel you have to, but because I feel for me its the right thing to do, If you know someone and they have a awesome photograph and you just have to try it just tell them you want to try to make an image like that .. You will probably get a response like I did " Its probably been done before "

Those are my thoughts for the day and next weekend I will be showing why you NEVER want to print at a chain store photo booth !!! turns out walmart processing really will kill your smashing photograph !!!!!

This is a shot of my dog little bit. We had just brought our newborn home and she was a little out of sorts at first. She was jealous and always wanted to be in our laps but we had the baby. We would take time out to play with her and make sure she knew she was still ( one ) of our favorites .. The baby and her are the best of friends now and when he cries she will run and check on him to make everything is all right . This week has been almost all family photos. I always have my Iphone so this is how I get a lot of videos and pictures of my kids . I first was going to get the Iphone 4 at the end of the month but now I am going to hold out and get the Iphone 5 ( cause its gonna be awesome ) The only person who is a little bummed about it is Chris... Ya I haven't figured out why hes never ever had a cell phone , really its just cause he wants to play the apps.. lol .. SO with further wait here are the shots from my week Enjoy!

A camera buddy for my Nikon :D I bought two one that I really wanted because it was a monster ( and tie dye ) and this one because it has a little squeaker in it, to keep those little eyes locked on my camera and not mommy or the pretty butterfly that's buzzing around . Tho I do love candied shots I feel like my schooling and all these years of practice have giving me the ability to capture a posed moment that seems so very unopposed . I find that the best photographs and best photographers have this talent . Finding that best shot is the fun of this whole medium..

A friend of mine started selling Scentsy and this is one of the items I bought from her . Its a cute little plug in night light . My favorite new scent is luna ( I sweat get it! its very calming and fresh !

My Little mans new raspberry teethier ( he will not under any circumstance take a paci but he love loves this teething paci ) If you have a baby I really suggest you get one .. However don't get the multi colored ones they are not one whole piece and I have read online that the nipple part will come apart from the body of the paci .

The love of my life and our little pig ( in bunny ears ) I was so happy I found these ears , We did a little photo shoot for Easter and tho I didn't get the look I was looking for I think the ones that I did came out great.

Abstract and Architecture

Back when in 2004 when I first started my love for photography a lot of my work was abstract such as old buildings , bowls , trains , feet and food Things of this nature . I played around and have been from the beginning a thinker outside the box. I loved my teachers because they pushed me to see something out of nothing . It wasn't until recently that I started photo editing, My first camera being an SLR I didn't do much in the way of photo editing . I feel grateful that I learned how to capture a raw moment and it be beautiful with out editing it. With that said I am glad that I have now learned how to edit and change my photos in my digital darkroom , I keep learning new ways to process a photo and believe that no matter how much I know there will always be more to learn! recently it feels like all I've been photographing is beautiful faces ( and I love it ) but I miss taking pictures of things that call to me as I am walking or driving down the road.. So I am getting back to my roots and taking time out and taking quick shots of things I see. Here are some recent shots I took this last weekend. Enjoy

When we stopped to take a few pictures of the family here at a cattle walking chute , I looked down and saw this barb wire and thought that would be pretty.... And sure enough I think I was right :)

We were on our way out to walker lake to get some shots of the family there I noticed the fire depo building and thought "that would be cool" we kept driving and Chris asked me if I wanted to take a picture of it, I said "no" because I didn't want to be a bother but then it dawned on me that I do that a lot I say something to please others and I needed to please my creative bone that day ! So I spoke up and asked him to turn around and boy am I glad I did. I think it came out great ..

We went around the lake to get to Chester to eat lunch and I saw this phone booth, it looked pretty cool and it made me think of the cool phone booths from England . Id really like to take a picture of those one day.

So not too long ago a long time high school chum of mine introduced me to Instagram and a whole mess of Photo editing apps on the Iphone . I am utterly in love and obsessed and because this whole new world has been shown to me, I now use my Iphone camera all the time ( and I am going out of my way to get the Iphone 4 just because it has a flash ) crazy you think , ya I do to but if you knew how much I love photography and all that it holds you wouldn't think it crazy as much ... I have decided to add some fun into my blog and my weekend by adding instagram Sundays to my list of to dos. Each Sunday I will add my pictures that I have taken of the randomness that is my life onto my blog. I really hope you enjoy Them and feel free to follow me on instagram I'm under stanDbackphotography, I also recommended to follow label box ( steply ) a really cool app and another app that I love just as much as instagram is Hipstamatic ( OMG I love love love ) The truth is I use a lot of apps but I post to the instagram community . I hope it gives you a little push to be creative in your own world with what ever phone ( or camera ) you own.. Here are some from this week .

This is my newest little one and his new pink pig, yes I said HIS and PINK in the same sentence... Out thoughts were, what color is a pig... PINK ... and well we don't care if its pink , he snorts like a pig when hes mad and thats his nic name so we bought a scentsy pig , cause scentsy is awesome and his pig smells like man scent that his big sister has named pork chop... ***Feel free to check out my friend lorris scentsy page***

My family and I went out and took some family pictures for the first time in 9 years and along the way I took a lot of random pictures as well, this is a tube of water that they use to fill up a lake near where we live. People wrote some pretty funny things on this tub so we get a little lovey :) and added our initials too .

At the end of out trip we stopped in Chester and went to the Lassen gift shop , we do this every time we are in Chester and let the kids get a little toy This time we made it extra special and had desert, They have like the old time soda fountain ice cream shop inside. Its pretty cool, I got a chocolate shake and my son got a cherry shake so we added each others into our own and made chocolate cherry shake SOOOOOO GOOOD !!!! Their Cherry shake is to die for !!!!

Today on Iheartfaces is a phone photo challenge, I never really used to use my cell for any pictures because they came out so bad, I have an old Iphone with no flash. But when my friends started to produce cool images from their cells I got interested, and then iheartfaces posted about cell phone iphone apps ( so exciting ) so now my cell pictures can look just a little bit better! This is a picture of my newest little one , he is 2 months old and tho I love all three of my kids the same he on this day made my heart swell ... I have joined the community of clicking moms, I have so many blogs that I follow about photography and all that it holds I love each one that I follow they each give you something new in knowledge that you didn't know before. You have to pay to follow this one so that's why its taken me so long to do so, But I got a fire lite under my butt and took the plunge, I hope to participate in some of there workshops, to learn more about this medium I love so much... It isn't something that is my life, I have three kids and a wonderful husband that take up most of my time, I don't have a shop I go to everyday and I don't have tons of business However learning all I can learn and doing what I can do , for my own family as well as for people around my community is something I will and can do! I don't charge a lot for my services, I believe truly that everyone should be able to have great photos taken, with out braking the bank! I am able to do this for others and I will continue to do so!
